Photovoltaic system for telecommunications

Photovoltaic system for telecommunications Photovoltaic system for telecommunications

Telecommunications systems often require power at remote locations a long way from electricity lines. The versatility and high level of reliability of solar photovoltaic energy makes it the most competitive solution for this type of application, whether in the form of pure photovoltaic systems or hybrid systems with a further auxiliary source of power. The system is manufactured on the principles of photovoltaics.

The solar-photovoltaic energy system allows independent uninterrupted power supply for any equipment. Systems are durable, have a long service life and require only minimal maintenance. As inferred from the table below, this system is basically made up of photovoltaic generator, storage battery and controller - regulation and control unit.
Photovoltaic generator consists of a series of photovoltaic panels connected in series and in parallel, the number of which depends on necessary installation power and the solar energy available at the site. The generator is responsible for transforming solar energy into electrical power.

Batteries store the energy produced by the generator so as to meet consumption needs at times when there is insufficient radiation, either because it is night time or as a result of cloudy weather.

Controller is responsible for ensuring correct functioning of the structure as a whole and for avoiding overcharging or excessive discharging of the battery. It can also give a warning locally or via remote signaling in case of malfunction or fault in the systems
