Photovoltaic system for illumination of roads and motorways
At present there is an increase in the necessity for the installment of light sytems on highways which considerably improves the safety for drivers and pedestrians. The offered photovoltaic autonomous power supply system on
the basis of the solar module is intended for the illumination of roads and motorways, which have no centralized energy supply.
The offered system is intended for posts 10-12 metres high for the provision of required illumination. The system is manufactured on the principles of photovoltaics.
System Structure:
- Photovoltaic Module - transforms sunlight into electric power. Service life: not less than 20 years.
- Storage battery - pressurized, maintenance-free, stores accumulated energy. Storage battery service life varies depending on the model from 5 to 15 years.
- Controller - optimizes the charge/discharge of the storage battery, prolonging its service life. Automatically turns on/off the light at day break/nightfall. May be completed with the timer for setting on/off mode at a given time.
- Inverter - serves for transforming direct current of 12V into alternating current of 220V.
- Lighthead consists of the bowl with the luminescent lamp, provides for light field 20-25 meters in diameter, light - 10-20 lux.
Used is: " Luminescent lamp with the power of 30W, which is equivalent to the usual incandescent lamp with the power of 150W. Service life - 8000 hours. " Sodium lamp with the power of 50W, which is equivalent to the usual incadescent lamp with the power 0f 300W. Service life - 13000 hours.
- Pressurized metal box for placing a storage battery and an accumulator
The automatic equipment block (controller and storage battery) are placed in the pressurized box in the upper part of the post, in the lower part of the post or under the ground (at clients' request).
Electronic devices have all security types, and namely: short circuit protection; overheating, overload protection. This allows not only to maintain efficiency, but also to provide for the reliability of the sytem on the whole.

Photovoltaic system for street illumination
At present there is an increase in the necessity for the installment of light sytems in places remote from power lines. The system is manufactured on the principles of photovoltaics. The offered system may be used for the illumination of school territories; kindergartens, parks, pedestrian crossings, car parkings, storehouse territories etc, which have no centralized energy supply.
The offered system is intended for the post height of 8-10 metres for the provision of required illumination.
